Early Childhood Institute Featured in National Council Magazine
The Providence Center’s Early Childhood Institute (ECI) was featured in a recent issue of The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare’s quarterly magazine, National Council Magazine. The issue focused on early intervention and prevention of mental health and substance use problems.
The Early Childhood Institute’s philosophy of understanding the meaning behind the behavior of young children guides the staff as they work with children, their families and early childhood care providers to teach strategies that help children succeed both at home and in their daycares. The article highlighted the services that ECI clinicians provide, including observing children at their day care, a day treatment program promoting social-emotional development and consultations and trainings for childcare providers.
