Crisis Stabilization Unit

Crisis Stabilization Unit

The Providence Center’s Crisis Stabilization Unit provides short-term care for patients experiencing an acute psychiatric and/or substance use crisis that could escalate to a point of requiring hospitalization. As an alternative to hospitalization or as a step-down for a transition between levels of care, the CSU’s services focus on stabilizing clients and addresses their mental health and substance use needs.

The CSU is staffed with a highly skilled team of psychiatrists, nurses, clinicians and case managers specializing in mental health and substance use crisis intervention. Patient-focused, recovery-based services utilize a variety of modalities in addition to traditional therapies.
