Providence Water Supply (PWS), operator of the largest water utility in Rhode Island, will once again be donating toys to children of families served by The Providence Center.
Brenda Aquilante, senior administrative clerk at PWS, began organizing holiday donations for TPC families three years ago. In the first year, PWS 'adopted' a single family; but once Brenda saw the generous outpouring of donations from her co-workers, she realized there was potential to do much more. This year, Providence Water Supply's toy drive has raised dozens of toys, hats, gloves and mittens, and over $350 in cash donations. Thanks to Brenda and the team at PWS, underprivileged children across Rhode Island will now receive new toys and clothing this holiday season.
TPC's Annual Campaign Manager Erica Donnelly spoke of the impact of Providence Water Supply's donation.
"Their continued generosity is overwhelming," Donnelly said. "It's wonderful to be able to partner with such caring individuals in the community to make the holiday season brighter for our little ones in need. We're truly grateful."
