The Providence Center (TPC) has opened an Integrated Health Home program at Thundermist Health Center, a federally-qualified patient centered medical home. The program, located at Thundermist’s South County facility in Wakefield, is focused on providing high-quality treatment to adults enrolled in Medicaid and dealing with serious mental illness. The location at Thundermist allows Health Home clients to easily access other important treatment options, like primary care and dental services.
“Working side by side with the providers at Thundermist allows us to provide our clients the best multi-disciplinary care possible,” said program manager Katie Richards. “We look forward to continued growth and greatly appreciate the warm welcome and support from Thundermist.”
“At Thundermist, much of our day-to-day work is focused on reducing the physical, psychological and social barriers to good health. Those with severe mental illness face extraordinary challenges,” said Chuck Jones, Thundermist’s CEO. “These collaborative and enhanced services, provided together with TPC, will allow us to more effectively impact the health and well-being of our patients and the communities in which they live.”
